چکیده

This paper proposes a Neuro-Fuzzy Controller to Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC), which might have a significant impact on power system dynamics. We tune the scaling factors of neuro-fuzzy controller using adaptive critic. The proposed method is used for damping the low frequency oscillations caused by disturbances such as a sudden change of small or large loads or an outage in the generators or transmission lines. To evaluate the usefulness of the proposed method, the computer simulation for single machine infinite system is performed. Simulation results show that this control strategy is very robust, flexible and alternative performance. Also it could be used to get the desired performance levels. The response time is also very fast despite the fact that the control strategy is based on bounded rationality. Obtain results that have been compared with fuzzy PD controller show that our method has the better control performance than fuzzy PD controller. Fast Transient Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy Controller for STATCOM During Unbalanced Voltage Sags

A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is generally used to regulate voltage and improve transient stability in transmission and distribution networks. This is achieved by controlling reactive power exchange between STATCOM and the grid. Unbalanced sags are the most common type of voltage sags in distribution networks. A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is generally used to maintain...

Transient Stability Enhancement during Damping of Low Frequency Oscillations of a Multi-Machine Power System Using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Controller for FACTS devices

Long distance AC transmission is often subject to stability problems, which limits the transmission Capability. Large interconnected power systems often suffer from weakly damped swings between synchronous generators and subsystems. This paper studies the comparative performance of SSSC and UPFC for the improvement of transient stability and damping of power swings of a multi-machine power syst...

Design and Simulation of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Based Controller for Chaotic Lorenz System

Chaos is a nonlinear behavior that shows chaotic and irregular responses to internal and external stimuli in dynamic systems. This behavior usually appears in systems that are highly sensitive to initial condition. In these systems, stabilization is a highly considerable tool for eliminating aberrant behaviors. In this paper, the problem of stabilization and tracking the chaos are investigated....
